is the bag waterproof?

The base is double layered 900D HD Polyester Canvas, it repels water to keep your gear clean and dry - especially if you place it down on the cold wet ground. The main bag is single layer 900D HD Polyester Canvas with a PVC lining, easy to clean and will also help repel moisture.

how big is the bag?

The bag dimensions are 55cm Long x 35cm Wide x 35cm Tall. The size of the bag and pockets are generous with a total volume of around 71L of space to store your gear. We designed this bag to help you keep everything organised - every bit of your gear will be easier to access and have its own place.

what are the sizes of the internal dividers and shoe compartment?

The front shoe compartment fits at least a size 12 work boot and a pair of thongs - tested - it is around 25cm Deep x 35cm Wide x 25cm Tall. The main clothes divider (large) designed to store your heavy gear like jackets, jumpers and pants is 30cm x 30cm Wide x 25cm Deep. The smaller divider designed for underwear, bathers and socks is 30cm Long x 10cm Wide x 25cm Deep. The two dividers that sit above the shoe compartment are each 15cm Wide x 25cm Long x 10cm Deep - they easily fit 5 T-shirts one side and the other 3-4 pair of shorts. The bag is designed for 3-5 days of clothes you need to visit the Victorian High Country in winter or 2 weeks of tropical shirts and shorts for up north

does it come with a warranty?

We want you to know that we have your back - we are offering a 12 month warranty on the bag which will cover you for major manufacturing malfunctions such as the stitching coming loose. The Cape has been built to handle the tough stuff, we have tried to over-engineered it with reinforced handles, double stitching and the design of our straps. We have tested its durability for the way you are likely to use it. General wear and tear is not covered as yet. Please let us know if you have any issues. 

how do i clean the bag after a trip?

With the durable materials and design of The Cape, its as easy to wipe it down with a wet cloth if it gets a little dirty. Don't use any cleaning products, the internals are PVC lined so easy to clean as required. 

what should i expect when receiving the cape? 

The heavy-duty liner may arrive with some creasing or a ‘new gear’ smell after shipping - both are normal, fade quickly, and don’t affect performance.

 

Each Cape is also compressed for shipping. This not only makes delivery more efficient, it also demonstrates how compact the bag can pack down when not in use. Because of this, there’s a short setup required before your first trip - usually under 4 minutes.
