At Voortrekka Australia, we believe adventure should be simple, organised, and stress-free.

 

We’ve all packed in the dark, lived out of the car, and battled tubs of chaos. We were over flimsy bags, busted zips, and gear that just didn't work. So we built something better — tough, organised, and made to make life outdoors simple.

We’re a small Aussie family building something different.

 

After years in service — Steve as an Army Major, Kim as a Nurse — we wanted to create something practical and meaningful. Gear that helps people enjoy the outdoors with less stress and more freedom.

The inspiration? A combat vehicle.

 

In the Army Combat Vehicle, everything had its place — that order made you faster, safer, more effective. The same mindset shaped The Cape, a duffle built to live out of, not just pack into. Because digging for socks in a black hole of a bag doesn’t cut it.

It started with a simple idea — a better bag.

 

One that stores your gear clearly and stays organised. Built tough, designed smart, and made for real Aussie campers. We teamed up with trusted suppliers to make it — and we’re building more with the same no-nonsense approach.

Our name, Voortrekka, means “Advance to Adventure.”

 

It’s a nod to Kim’s South African heritage, and a reminder of what drives us — helping people move forward with confidence, clarity, and gear that does the job properly.

We’re not here to sell hype — we’re here to build something that lasts.
